The main direction of Team’s activity is
the design and development of information systems.
They are executed, both for the needs of the Institute,
public administration, and within grants, targeted projects
and the EU projects. Undertakings executed by the
team include, in particular, the following:
- databases operating locally and in local computer networks,
- databases, the resources of which are available on the Internet,
- systems of control, diagnostics and monitoring of technical devices
and technological processes with the use of computer
technologies,
- Web portals and vortals.
The Information
Technologies Team applies various programming languages,
e.g.: C, C++, Pascal, Delphi, Visual Basic, Java. To create
database the following standards are used: DBASE, PARADOX,
ACCESS, ORACLE and MS-SQL.
The software developed by the Team is
compatible with different computer types: HP class 8000/9000
servers with UNIX systems, multi-processor PC class servers
with Novell systems and Windows NT, PC class computers with
Windows and Linux systems.
